Aroma of Karnataka

Day 1: Arrive Bangalore

Arrive at Bangalore International Airport. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Bangalore - Mysore

Bangalore is the capital city of Karnataka state which is well known as Garden city.  Afternoon proceed for a half day city tour of Bangalore visit Lal bagh, Cubbon park, Iskon Srikrishna Temple, Vidhan soudha and finally at Commercial Street for a bit of shopping.

Proceed to Mysore. On the way visit Srirangapatana which was  the capital of  King Hyder Ali and his son Tippu Sultan. By noon at Mysore. Check in at the hotel. Then return back to the hotel and over night stay at Hotel.

Day 3: Mysore - Hassan

In the morning half day tour of Mysore, visit Mysore Palace which is one of the major attractions of Mysore. Then to Mysore Zoo where you can see some of the rare species of wildlife.

Drive to Hassan enroute visiting - Saravanabelagola, the famous Jain pilgrim center & one of the oldest in India. The place is known as one of the greatest monuments of Jain art. The collosal statue of Gomateswara with a height of 57 feet is situated on the summit of Indragiri hill. It is one of the two giant sculptures in the world, after the Collosus Ramses II in Egypt. Later continue your drive to Hassan. Upon arrival check-in to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Hassan - Hospet

In the morning an excursion to Belur & Halebid. Belur was the Hoysala capital prior to Halebid, during the eleventh and twelfth centuries. The Chennakeshava temple is a fine and early example of the Hoysala style. Helebid  Founded in the early 11th century as Dvarasamudra, this ancient capital of the Hoysala empire was destroyed by the armies of the Delhi Sultanate in 1311 and 1327. Afternoon drive to Hospet. Upon arrival check-in to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Hospet - Badami

This morning excursion to Hampi. Hampi  The seat of the famed Vijayanagar empire, was the capital of the largest empire in post-mogul India, covering several states. Afternoon drive to Badami is once the capital city of the Chalukyan Empire, rulers of the central Deccan from 4th - 8th centuries AD. Upon arrival check-in to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Badami

A full day tour of Badami visiting Melegetti Shivalya Temple and four carved caves in the Southern Hill. First three caves dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu and fourth one to Jainism. These caves has been cut into the cliff face of a red sandstone hill and display India’s range of religious sects.  Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Badami - Goa

Drive to Goa.   Check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Goa

After breakfast, visit North & South Goa tour including Calangute, Colva, Dona Paula and Miramar beaches. Also visit Panjim, the capital city of Goa and famous Churches of Goa viz. Basilica of Bom Jesus, St Cajetan Church and st Cathedral. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 9: Goa

Day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Goa - Mumbai

Morning at leisure. Afternoon connect flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Mumbai - Departure

Sightseeing tour of Mumbai , Gateway of India, Elephanta Caves, Hanging Gardens, Prince of Wales Museum, Mantralaya - Parliament House,  Jain Temple and Marine Drive. Overnight stay in Mumbai. Evening connect flight for onward destination.
